How To Make Gmail Account More Secure?

Forgot My Gmail ID But I Remember My Password

Gmail users can enable authentication feature known as "two-step verification." It asks you to verify a code sent to your mobile device, when a login attempt is made on your account from a new device. If you don’t like entering code again and again for accessing email then turn-off second sign-in verification mode. For this you will have to disable your two step verification.

Following are the steps to disable 2 step verification:

  • Step 1: Sign in to your Gmail account using your existing user name and password.
  • Step 2: Click on account security.
  • Step 3: Click on two-step verification and turn it off.

(If you wish to turn on the second sign-in verification then choose turn on and follow the steps further)

  • Step 4: Enter your mobile number you want to associate with your account.
  • Step 5: Click send message.
  • Step 6: You will receive a verification code on your phone.
  • Step 7: Now put this verification code on the device from where you logged in.
  • Step 8: Click verify.

Second sign-in verification or two-step verification keeps your account protected from other users and prevents hackers. For assistance regarding second sign-in verification dial the Gmail support phone number Canada 1-844-478-5758.
